The HD vids are extremely clear. One of the best features about it is the software that comes with it. When you plug the Flip into your computer the software is automatically there. It is very easy to use and lets you make DVD's (with your own music) and is very organized. For the price you are getting alot of bang for your buck. I am very happy with it. The only thing that is ify, is the small screen. However when recording you dont really need a big screen anyhow, and you will most likely play it back on the tv..........one note***you need to buy a mini HDMI cord if you want to play it back from your tv. I think they should just charge a couple extra bucks and include the cord with it so you dont have to make another purchase.
