The reason I often use a Flip Video camera is because it’s lightweight, pocket size and quick to get into record mode.
Today I wanted to capture my daughter learning to ride her bike without stabilisers. I had my hands full trying to set her off plus being on standby for an emergency rescue! Luckily I was still able to capture the moment with the Flip Ultra. The Flip Camera (UK) (US) I used for this video is the standard definition first generation model (less than £80!) but if you think this footage looks good, you’ll get even more quality if you invest in one of the newer HD models.
I imported the file to itunes direct from the Flip Video Camera via it’s handy flip out USB arm, then exported via Quicktime Pro to a QT format before editing in Final Cut Express on my Macbook Pro. You lose a bit of quality in the encoding process so the footage looks even better played on my monitor.
Check out the all singing and dancing Flip Ultra HD on Amazon UK or Amazon US
for fast delivery and for the best prices I’ve found on the Web.
