NOTE: THIS VIDEO IS AN EXERCISE -THUMBNAIL DEPICTS A RECONSTRUCTION!

We see too many unedited Flip Video clips, which I guess is down to the fact that the Flip Video camera is mainly used for grabbing quick moments rather than telling constructed stories. We spotted this video from newsvideographer.com which impressed us with it’s storytelling.

“I published a true multimedia story today about firefighters practicing fire drills in a home donated by a couple that was about to tear down the house. I call it a “true” multimedia story because it has several elements that all work together, doing a different but complementary job.” says creator Angela Grant.

We think it’s a great example of what you can achieve with a low budget camera like the Flip Video by combining a simple interview and effective use of cutaways. This video was shot with a the standard definition Flip Ultra UK/US and edited with Final cut express. UK/US
